Single-Family Homes
Matthew 25 built two beautiful new construction homes on the west side of Cedar Rapids. Built with sustainability and low maintenance in mind, these homes reflected our mission to provide quality housing options that are both affordable and energy-efficient.
Homebuyers needed to make 80% or less than the area median income and plan to live in the home. Both homes’ selling prices were marked down significantly with existing subsidies, and Neighborhood Finance Corporation (NFC) offered additional homebuyer subsidy, grant, and loan opportunities.
Net Zero Homes
Matthew 25 is working to revitalize the Time Check neighborhood with healthy, future-focused housing that serves both people and the planet.
We have finished construction on three Net Zero Homes, which were built to produce as much energy as they consume by incorporating state-of-the-art solar panels, energy-efficient appliances, and superior insulation. They also have a community-focused design with patios and easy access to parks, green spaces, the river, and our own Cultivate Hope Urban Farm and Cultivate Hope Corner Store.
